Back in 2009, in an effort to promote the Recovery Act, President Obama’s administration pointed to his commitment to doing business a different way that the American people are accustomed to from Washington.
That starts with a fundamental commitment. Decisions about how Recovery Act dollars are spent will be based on the merits. Let me repeat that: Decisions about how Recovery money will be spent will be based on the merits.
In fact, statements like these ran through his teleprompters and out of his month, at nearly every point imaginable during his entire run for the Presidency. So, how has our President done, so far, in keeping this promise? Let’s just say this is likely not one of the 60% of promises he has said to have kept.
As Big Government reports, the new book by Peter Schweizer Throw Them All Out, outlines just how hypocritical President Obama is regarding this matter:
As the list reveals, 80 percent of all $20.5 billion in Department of Energy loans went to President Obama’s top donors. Furthermore, some of those dwarf in size those given to Obama bundler George Kaiser, owner of the now defunct Solyndra.
The list—which features the likes of Google owners Larry Page and Sergey Brinn, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Ted Turner, John Doerr, and Al Gore—raises new questions about the procedures used to administer the now-controversial DOE loans.

In my humble but accurate opinion…
80%. Yes, you read that right. That’s 8 out of 10 approved companies went to Obama’s biggest campaign donors from his 2008 run. Not to mention, a majority of those are now facing or will face in the future, serious finanacial troubles to the point of bankruptcy.
Its one thing for there to be no evidence and view claims of Obama’s crony capitalism as rhetoric. And, another thing entirely to see the numbers and information for yourself.
The more we dive into the Obama presidency and administration, from Eric Holder’s failures as head of the DOJ and beyond, the more we see just how hypocritical this President is.
This was not the change he promised the American people throughout his entire 2008 campaign. And, leaves me wondering are we dealing with a jaded politician who has turned hypocritical or a methodical liar who was willing to say anything to get elected. There’s a fine line here.
